In 2012, Sue Ryder generated over £9.5 million from the sale of donated and new goods. We rely on donations to help us provide incredible care to the 16,000 people we support every year.
Our October Wanted campaign resulted in an amazing 166,564 bags of donated stock. i donation bag = 3 hours of incredible care.
All the money raised from the sale of your donated items goes directly to the charity; turn your wanted items into care when you clear out your cupboards, wardrobes and garage.
Every week, throughout October's Wanted campaign (29 September to 26 October), 17 shops in the north west region were scored to see who had received the most donated stock compared to the same time last year.
By taking your donations along to your local shop, you helped the north west region raise a massive 6,171 bags - top shops

Make your donation worth more
At no extra cost to you, you can gift aid your donation which means that we can claim back the tax on your donation. For example, if we sell your donated item for £4, it will be worth £5 to us. For every £50 of donations sold, we'll actually receive £62.50.

What can you donate?
We're asking you to donate your unwanted clothes, accessories, furniture, and bric-a-brac. You might think your garment or textiles are too old or worn to donate, but we can still use them. We can sell damaged or unsaleable clothes to a third party and raise vital funds.
Donations that are broken or do not comply with trading standards cannot be sold in our shops. We try to recycle these items, but often the items end up as waste. This costs us money. Please consider this when donating to us.
Want to donate multiple bags?
If you have a large item, we can arrange to collect your item for free. Contact your nearest shop to find out more.

If you get together with friends, neighbours or family to collect 10 bags or more, our van might be able to come and collect your bags from your house. Get in touch to see if we can arrange a collection. Organise a collection for your local Sue Ryder shop
