Business Profile

About Us Alison and John welcome you to Sugar Brook Farm Bed and Breakfast, and hope you will have a most enjoyable stay with us. The farm is set within the picturesque location of the Cheshire countryside, with excellent communications to Manchester Airport and the M6 and M56 motorway network. The proximity of these amenities does not encroach upon the peaceful setting of the farm, rather they add to the convenience of its location.

Our Location The farm is set within the picturesque location of the Cheshire countryside, with excellent communications to Manchester Airport and the M6 and M56 motorway network. The proximity of these amenities does not encroach upon the peaceful setting of the farm, rather they add to the convenience of its location. Sugar Brook Farm is a working organic farm, certified by the Soil Association. We breed sheep and grow cereal crops. Environmental issues are given highest priority and the farm has recently joined the Countryside Stewardship Scheme to encourage wildlife further. If time allows, you can explore the farms nature walks and discover its hidden gems, a grade A site of biological interest at Arden Wood. A Grade B site at Erlam’s Pasture in the old tile yard, the brook by the Birkin and of course, Sugar Brook itself.

Our Local Area The local towns of Knutsford, Altrincham and Hale offer good shopping and exquisite easteries. The local public houses in Ashley and the adjacent village of Mobberley also provide tasty meals and some good beers – well worth a visit! Altrincham is a busy town with lots of great nightlife and a wide variety of pubs and clubs to visit. It also provides host to many fine eateries, both take-away and quality restaurants to choose from. There is a great shopping district that provides an alternative to traveling into Manchester to take in some retail therapy.
