Hearing Aids

The standard of NHS hearing aids is good, but many patients want options that aren't available on the NHS. Styles vary from discreet ones behind the ear, to ones that go in the ear and ones that are compatible with smart phones.

Ear Wax Removal

Wax is common and build up is likely as we get older, this can temporarily reduce hearing and can sometimes become uncomfortable. It is usually one of the biggest causes of whistling for hearing aid users. The safest removal method is microsuction with a vacuum pump, under direct observation.


Ear Protection-Music/Noise

Unfortunately, one of the biggest concerns of today is the risks of hearing loss due to loud music exposure. People who frequently attend concerts or festivals, should consider some form of ear protection. Musicians in particular, should have some custom ear protection, especially if they already suffer from tinnitus (ringing in the ears). Motorcyclists are also at risk of damaging their hearing.
